TOOLS FOR SUCCESS: MANAGER TRAINING

PROGRAM’S PURPOSE
To develop the participants’ supervisory & managerial skills so each individual can effectively and efficiently work within their organization’s management team as a leader of his/her own team or department.
PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT, COACHING & PRODUCTIVE FEEDBACK
At the completion of this session, the participant will be able to:
~Explain the importance of making coaching a regular component of their organization’s performance management process.
~Understand and explain the roles and responsibilities of the employee and the manager in the employee’s development process.
~Demonstrate a coaching and development model to assist each team member toward reaching his or her individual professional potential.
~Set clear goals, objectives and expectations for each employee.
~Use three of the key skills, of observation, inquiry and feedback, needed in the performance coaching process to work with all their team members, including their “difficult” people.
~Develop a plan to incorporate coaching into their day to day work environment.
MANAGING DIFFICULT SITUATIONS, PEOPLE & CONFLICT
~At the completion of this session, the participant will be able to:
~Identify the causes and sources of differences and conflict.
~Describe ways to reduce the potential for “negative” conflict situations within the workplace.
~Use varied strategies and techniques to work through these differences toward a positive and productive solution.
~Identify techniques to help reduce the tension and anxiety caused by these challenging situations.
~Develop a plan to create a positive and productive workplace environment.
